چکیده
This paper presents the results of an investigation into performance fully encased composite columns under monotonic axial load using finite element simulation. The damage characteristics and specimen were mainly focused on influence compressive strength concrete size reinforcement. material was modeled plasticity (CDP), which incorporates hardening softening behaviors, steel metal plasticity. obtained from current study validated by previously conducted experimental work manual calculation based Eurocode 4. According to FEA result, matrix significantly minimized with increase in concrete. By keeping other parameters constant, longitudinal reinforcement diameter minimizes equivalent plastic strain both structural bars. Furthermore, showed that numerical simulation fairly analytical solution.

Finite Element Analysis for CFST Columns under Blast Loading
The columns of frame structures are the key load-bearing components and the exterior columns are susceptible to attack in terrorist blasts. When subjected to blast loads, the columns would suffer a loss of bearing capacity to a certain extent due to the damage imparted which may lead to their collapse and even cause the progressive collapse of the whole structure . The concrete-filled steel col...

Out of all methods for ground improvement, stone column became more popular these days due to its simple construction and economic consideration. Installation of stone column especially in loose fine graded soil causes increasing in load bearing capacity and settlement reduction. Encased granular stone columns (EGCs) are commonly subjected to vertical load. However, they may also be subjected t...

متن کاملStiffness Characteristics of Joshi’s External Stabilization System under Axial Compression: a Finite Element Method Based Study
A finite element model of fractured tibia with Joshi’s External Stabilizing System (JESS) mounted on it was developed using 3D beam elements in the ANSYS software. The model was loaded in axial compression and the average axial stiffness of the model was calculated. The analytical value of axial stiffness was compared with reported experimental value to validate the finite element model. The va...
